From the legendary solid state amplifiers of Sludge Metal comes the Riff God, a faithful recreation of the vintage Randall RG100 preamp. Built for massive gain, crushing low end, aggressive mids, and unforgiving solid-state attack. The Riff God brings the distinctive character and response of the original amplifier into a compact pedalboard friendly format.
The RG100 became a defining amplifier for some of the heaviest guitar tones of the 1990s in Sludge Metal. Its combination of enormous headroom, aggressive distortion, and immediate response has made it a cult classic among players chasing devastatingly heavy guitar tones.
At its heart is a carefully engineered recreation of the RG100’s distinctive solid state gain structure. Delivering the tight and aggressive attack, massive saturation, and unmistakable character of the original amplifier. Unlike a typical distortion pedal, the Riff God is designed to feel and respond like an amplifier giving your picking dynamics and guitar volume control a direct influence over the character of the distortion.
The onboard 3-band tone stack provides extensive control over the massive low end and aggressive midrange that define the RG100 sound. Push the Bass for subterranean weight, carve the Mids control for a darker and more cavernous voice, or push the mids forward for cutting, aggressive riff definition.
A dedicated Presence control works independently from the Treble control, allowing you to shape the upper end response and attack of the amplifier-style circuit. Dial it back for darker heavier tones or push it forward for additional bite and articulation.
Riff God also features a switchable boost circuit designed to recreate the experience of pushing an RG100 with a boost in front. Engage the boost for the full NOLA Sludge experience, or switch it off and place your own boost, overdrive, or distortion in front of Riff God to experiment with different combinations.

MIDS: Shape the crucial midrange character of the RG100 circuit from aggressive and forward to deep and scooped
TREB: Adjust high frequency bite and clarity from dark and ominous to sharp and cutting
