ZVEX Effects proudly introduces the newest member to our line, the ’59 Sound. It’s based on the legendary 1959 Tweed Fender Bassman. The ’59 Sound captures the essence of that magical amplifier.
I've never really liked the sound of distorted Fender amps (this is Zack pontificating) except for my earliest amp, a blonde Fender Bassman with a 2X12 cab that just rip roared pure tinnitus joy. But there is one Fender that blows that one completely away, and that's a '59 Bassman. I guess the way it affected Jim Marshall was similar, back in the 60s, because he used it as the template for the first Marshall amps. So it's not out of the realm of possibility to imagine that the ZVEX Box of Rock, which accurately models the Marshall JTM45 amps, could be modded to sound like a '59 Bassman. Tommy Rehbein, our customer service specialist, tackled this particular concept and listened closely to a '59 Bassman for a few days and tweaked components in our BOR until he got that magical '59 Sound worked out. Check out the video and see if this is a sound you've been searching for. It's pretty amazing, especially when you use your guitar's volume control to explore it's wide range of textures.

The heaviest-sounding pedal in the ZVEX lineup, the BOM has a massive amount of distortion with great thump and excellent tone control, and includes a very effective noise-silencing gate feature which can be turned off and on with a footswitch. Gain adjusts from hard to harder.View full product details
The Silicon Fuzz Factory contains carefully selected silicon transistors that preserve the classic texture of the original germanium Fuzz Factory while providing temperature stabilization. This means that it can be used in very hot situations such as sunny outdoor stages and under hot lights where germanium fuzzes can change texture as their gain climbs wildly.
Packed with knobs that let you control everything from tight, radically fuzzy sounds that gate off instantly when you stop playing, to intermodulating oscillations that fight for control of your guitar as your notes decay, to shortwave radio sounds, ripping velcro and octave-like fuzz.

The Sonar™ is a “tremolo” pedal, but this one’s different. This unit has the ability to chop up any signal you send into or out of it. Unlike most other tremolos, it can cut down your high gain signal to silence. It can also sound gorgeously transparent like a traditional tremolo. It does other fun stuff like increase or decrease tempo, duty cycle (amount of time the trem is ON in a given cycle), or both simultaneously on the fly. It also has tap tempo and a slew of advanced features (attack, release, and depth controls). Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, it has aZVEX Machine™ circuit built right into the box.View full product details
