The Morgan DUAL 20 combines the original AC 20 Deluxe and Abbey into one package. Two separate channels, each recreate all the features of the originals. Use any A/B/Y footswitch to change between, or even combine, channels.
The DUAL 20s NORMAL channel has a switchable EF86 tube, voicing the range of tones from the cleanest of EL84 chime to ferocious high gain growl. A Bass Cut and a Bright switch allow you to completely sculpt your tone.
The DUAL 20s TOP BOOST channel adds bass and treble controls as well as an extra stage of gain. This channel is perfect for capturing Tom Petty and Beatles tones.
The DUAL 20 uses a global CUT control to smooth the top end in the power section of the amp, allowing you to dial in just the right amount of chime.
The DUAL 20 features Morgan's revolutionary Power Level control which is a big part of the magic of this amplifier. Many guitarists today have spent large sums of time and money working on their pedal boards. Most pedals are not designed to be used with a tube amp on “1”, but rather to, interact with an amplifier at, or near, the point at which it begins to break up. That is why an overdrive pedal is called an “over” drive. It is driving the amp over that point. Unfortunately, this can make the volume too loud for most live applications. The Power Level control on the DUAL 20 solves this issue. Think of conventional master volumes as a spigot on a garden hose. They choke signal off to the power section of the amp to attain a usable level. Most conventional master volumes also affect the way your pedals interact with your amp. Morgan's Power Level control behaves like a zoom lens, limiting the size of the output signal that can be produced by the output tubes. It does NOT choke the signal down, and therefore, the amp behaves identically to running at full volume. This means that you can choose the power that you need from a ¼ of a watt to 20 watts.

MORGAN HISTORY: Joe Morgan has been building, modifying and repairing amplifiers since 1996. His designs are seen in stadiums and arenas all over the world. It is hard to turn on a music awards show without seeing his products. Joe designs for the working musician, whether that means a Sunday morning church gig or touring the world with James Taylor.
Joe will be the first to tell you that tube amps are not rocket science (Joe was part of the engineering team that developed the first GPS satellites). Tube amps are only as good as their components and Morgan chooses the best of the best. Engineered with custom designed transformers to provide the best possible sonic signature they also provide him with the confidence to offer a limited lifetime warranty.
Pre-owned Morgan 2x12 Cabinet with wheat grille and black tolex. In very good condition, has one white mark on the top which is normally covered by a head. Includes dust cover, loaded with two creambacks.
The Morgan 2x12EXT is a 2x12”, open-back extension cabinet. It utilizes tongue-and-groove Baltic Birch construction to deliver the bass, mid response and great sound you would expect from a Morgan cab. The cab is a fixed baffle 2x12, this is the same construction that you would find from early 60s British speaker cabs and delivers that same classic tone. At the heart of the cab is a Celestion G12H-75 Creamback 16 Ohm speaker. Back in the late 60s, the G12H was created by fixing an 'H' type (heavy) magnet to the body of a G12M guitar speaker. Result: a speaker with more power and a different tonal balance: firmer bass and a more pronounced top end. It delivers 75-watts of power handling with ease and has unmistakeable G12H tone, with a tighter low end than the G12M-65 Creamback and a punchier, more dynamic high end. The H magnet brings additional focus, body and girth to the Creamback tone. It thickens single notes, resulting in a highly articulate, vocal character. These additional characteristics mean that the G12H-75 Creamback offers exceptional performance when used for lead guitar. The Morgan G12H-75 Creamback loaded cabinet gives you the best of clean chime while still having the authority to deliver the dynamic punch that overdriven tones need. As with all Morgan cabinets, oversized 12-gauge speaker wire is soldered between the speaker and terminal, assuring you capture every ounce of valuable tone. You will be blown away at just how huge this cabinet sounds! Handwired in the USA.

The MVP23 is a handwired in USA amp designed to deliver punchy cleans and amazing overdriven tones at any volume level. At its heart, the MVP23 splits the line between the classic 18w blues breaker and the modified American amps that now sell for $100,000. The MVP takes you from pristine clean to liquid overdrive with its interactive controls. The gain structure of this amp was designed to be extremely sensitive to your pick attack and the guitar’s volume control. The MVP23 utilizes a pair of cathode biased Class-A, EL84 tubes whose output power is controlled by Morgan’s Power Scaling circuit. Power Scaling allows you to play anything from 1/4 watt to 23 watts and EVERYTHING in between without loosing an ounce of tone.Power Scaling Explained: Pedals traditionally perform best when the amplifier is at or near it’s break up point. This is why an overdrive pedal is called an “over” drive - it is “driving” the amp over that level. Unfortunately, this volume is too loud for most applications. Conventional master volumes choke off the signal to the power section of the amp to a usable level which negatively affects the way your pedals interact with your amp. The MVP’s Power Scaling solves this - it limits the size of the actual output signal that can be produced by the output tubes. The signal is never “choked” down and therefore behaves identical as if the amp were running at full volume. This allows you to play the MVP-23 at ANY level without compromising tone!

The Morgan PR12 is based around the small American 12W combo from the 60’s. It has been updated with a bigger power supply and tightened low end and utilizes a 12” Greenback celestion. This amp incorporates all of the mods I have been asked to do on those old 60s American amps to make them more usable for live performances. The PR12 starts with the classic black face tone and then beefs up the low end by giving the power supply of the amp more juice so that it doesn’t fart out like the originals. The reverb has also been modified to add a Dwell control. The Dwell control allows you to control the amount of decay in your reverb. This allows you to have a very high reverb mix without washing out your guitar tone. The bass and treble controls interact with each other to give you a wide range of tones. The cabinet is a specially designed fix baffle cab. The fixed baffle design allows the entire cab to resonate with the speaker giving it a much larger sound for such a small box. As with all Morgan Amps the PR12 LOVES pedals and works well with any pedalboard. The PR12 is small footprint grab and go combo that will cut through any mix and is loud enough to get over drummer.
