We sought to bring the touch sensitivity and FEEL of the Benson brand to preamp types that are cleaner in essence but can sound big and fat and juicy when you dig in.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eThe VOLUME, WATTAGE and REVERB CONTROLS are pretty standard Benson fare. The BASS and TREBLE controls are where the rubber meets the road so to speak.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eBASS moves a sizable scoop up and down the frequency spectrum...starting at 100HZ and ending around 1K. This essentially cuts bass at the lowest setting, and ends up cutting into the treble at the highest setting. It might seem strange, and it is, but the results need to be experienced to be properly understood as being VERY versatile in tandem with the special treble control....more versatile than your average Treble-Middle-Bass tone stack...with this you can pick the frequency points to feature and conversely what to cut.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eIt just ends up sounding very BIG.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eTREBLE is a treble roll off, but instead of the typical 6db\/ octave slope found in most guitar amps, it is 12db\/octave....much steeper...with eq points selected with great care for guitar.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eThis is the heart of the Redland...the Redland EQ.
